SARAFF ENTERPRISES

THE COMPANY

Established in 1987, Saraff Enterprises has established a reputation for integrity and supply of quality stones both in Asia and Europe. Although Susheel Saraff has been involved in the diamond trade since 1980, Saraff Enterprises as it is today did not come into being until 1987. In the same year, it also took over a company known as Silver Enterprises, formally located at 111/3-4 Burapa Road, Burapabhirom district, Bangrak. In 1989, a subsidiary company called Jay Vijay Diamonds was set up and in the same year the company moved to the heart of Bangkok's gem and jewelry quarter at 779, Silom Road. In 1993 Saraff Enterprises took over K. P. Associates and in 1994 the company moved to its present address.  In India there are two affiliated companies, Karan Export in Surat and Rashmi Enterprises in Bombay.

Jay Vijay Diamonds was one such venture out of sheer pleasure for this business. I stongly believe that with our commitment to uncompromoising quality and exclusive workmanship, we will venture more into this business for years to come.

GRADING & TRANSPARENCY
Grading could be a metric derived over a clear and demanding 16-step method to certify verity worth of a diamond. The system is therefore refined that judgment actually wins over subjectiveness.

COMPANY PROFILE

In a move to consolidate Saraff Enterprises' position, the company has diversified into investments in the manufacturing industry. However, diamonds will remain the group's number one priority. Saraff Enterprises generally imports from Europe and America and sells all over Southeast Asia with emphasis on Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and America.

COLOURED DIAMONDS
Diamonds occur in a variety of colors—steel gray, white, blue, yellow, orange, red, green, pink to purple, brown, and black. Colored diamonds contain interstitial impurities or structural defects that cause the coloration, whilst pure diamonds are perfectly transparent and colorless.
FANCY DIAMONDS
Fancy colored diamonds are a bold way to make your ring one-of-a-kind. As color values are the most important factor in determining prices for colored stones, our diamonds are stringently measured by standardized color parameters. These include measurements of the hue (which represents the stone’s primary shade) tone, (which measures the penetration of light), and saturation (which gauges the intensity of the color.)

Our diamonds are inspected by the world’s leading gemological institutes and come with a certificate that testifies to the origin and authenticity of each stone, in addition to listing the diamond’s unique characteristics and color qualities.

FANCY DIAMONDS ROUND The Classic Cut: the vast majority of diamonds sold are rounds. The traditional choice for all occasions and preferred by many for their personal investment portfolio. The depth percentage should range between 58 to 63 percent and the table percentage should range between 55 to 64 peercent. The most desired percentages are the 60 percent, and perfectionists will look for depth of 59 through 62 percent and table of 56 through 58 percent.

FANCY DIAMONDS OVAL
The oval cut diamond is based upon the traditional configuration of the round brilliant diamond and that's why its technical name is oval modified brilliant diamond. The oval was invented by Lazare Kaplan in the early 1960s. A length-to-width ratio of 1.5:1 is almost universally considered a pleasing shape for oval diamonds, with any variation beyond 1.4:1 or 1.6:1 beginning to be noticeable and become an aesthetic issue. However as with all fancies, a certain degree of individual taste is always factored into the desirability of a particular diamond's shape. Fifty-six facets are typical for oval brilliant diamonds. Over the last year or two ovals have become very popular as center diamonds for engagement rings"
Somewhere in between the round brilliant and the pear shape...

FANCY DIAMONDS HEART
Romantic perfection for the special occasions. The perfect stone for the special occasion requirements. The Heart shaped brilliant is the hit item on Valentines day. Usually the width will be 10% wider than the head-to-point length.

FANCY DIAMOND PRINCESS CUT
The Princess Cut Diamond ia a brilliant style shape with sharp, uncut corners. It is typically cut square rather as a rectangle. Brilliant style refers to vertical direction crown and pavilion facets instead of step style horizontaled facets. A princess Cut Diamond generally has 76 facets, giving it more brilliance and fire than the round brilliant. The Princess Cut diamond is fast becoming one of the most popular cuts in the United States
FANCY DIAMOND EMERALD CUT
An emerald cut diamond shape is usually rectangular. The flat planes of the outside edges allow for a variety of side stones shapes. Typical pairings would be two or three side baguetts, two half-moons,and other smaller emeralds, but not trillions ,as their sparkle makes the center emerald cut look flat. The length-to-width ratio should be between 1.5:1 to 1.75:1.

FANCY DIAMOND MARQUISE
The Marquise Cut takes its name from a legend relating to the Marquise of Pompadour. According to the legend, the Sun King desired a stone to be polished into the shape of the mouth of the Marquise. It is generally agreed that a legnth-to-width ratio between 1.75:1 to 2:1 is most pleasing. As with other fancy shapes, the consumer's individual taste constitutes an element of the evaluation as well. The typical marquise diamond contains 56 facets
FANCY DIAMOND CUSHION
As its name suggests, a cushion cut is a square or rectangularshape with rounded corners that resemble a pillow. The cushion cut is usually comprised of 58 facets with a typical ratio of 1.00 to 1.05 for square shapes and 1.10 or greater for more rectangular ones. Although not as brilliant as round brilliants, cushion cuts have large facets allowing for a greater separation of white light into spectral colours.

FANCY DIAMOND PEAR
The pear shaped brilliant diamond is based upon the traditional configuration of the round brilliant diamond.More than other fancy shapes,length-to-width ratio is a matter of taste when it comes to pear shaped diamonds.Because pears may be used for engagement rings, suites in necklaces, dangles in earrings, and integral parts of custom designs, a wide variety of shapes is considered desirable. The typical pear shaped diamond will contain 58 facets.

COMMERCIAL DIAMONDS

The so-called commercial grade diamonds are an interesting category. Their weight is almost one carat or less and the parameters are not necessarily top class. The supply of commercial grade diamonds exceeds that of the Premium quality diamonds (which are more fancy, have more than 1.00 ct and are higher in quality), making them much more affordable and convertible. It could be argued that traders are trading a handful of commercial grade diamonds at a time
